Easter Retreat

Hi Guys,

A thought for the theme of the next retreat, ...Lament... , it ties in well with the beattitudes, and maybe with Easter?, all comments welcome, in fact feedback is imperative.

Cheers,

Nigel

Hi nigel
initially i thought that lament was pretty depressing, but on reflection, actually it wasn't that deep i think it just grew on me.I guess there are a lot of things in this world that Jesus lamented and that we should also lament in a proactive way not in a oh woe is me its all too hard way. So i vote yes to lament as a theme. we shall see if any one else has something to say.

Lament is a good theme to pick up through the various componants of the time in my thinking. Adam and I (input section) are looking at a link between the book of James and the beatitudes and follow through on some thoughts around that. Lament fits into this to some extent and certinaly is picked up in both contexts. I agree Easter definately has a lament element to it. What do others think?

I'm ecstatic, but mainly because I've finally got someone apart from Chris or Katrina to leave a comment on the blog. I'm cool to go with your thoughts brother I was simply trying to get some discussion happening and my suggestion was based on little more than what I had been thinking about at the time I wrote the entry. I just wanted to make sure we were on track well before the event. If you can unpack your theme a little Rich and I will make sure the food is appropriate! Always happy to talk about James' letter.
